System Uptime Widget

System

System Uptime is not a trivia counter. The reason anyone wants this number is to answer a question Windows never asks: has this machine been up long enough that restarting would help? So the strip fills a rail toward the threshold you set, marked one notch per day, and stays quiet and monochrome until you cross it — at which point it turns amber and says restart soon, which is an instruction rather than a label. Click it for the full picture: days up, status, the longest run it has seen, and the threshold. It counts awake time, the way Windows does, so a laptop that sleeps overnight resumes where it left off instead of counting the night.
