Desktop widgets for Windows 10 & 11

Put it wherever
you want it.

120 widgets that live on your desktop, dock to your taskbar, and stay exactly where you left them.

Free tier, no account · Microsoft Store

Every widget above is the real thing, recorded from the app.

Four places to put one

A widget doesn't have to sit on the desktop

Most widget apps give you a floating window and stop there. WidgetSpark also docks into the taskbar, reserves a bar along the top of the screen, and renders behind your icons.

On the desktop

Float anywhere, always-on-top optional, click-through when you want it out of the way.

In the taskbar

Docked into Windows’ own taskbar, next to the clock. Live data, and the buttons work.

On the SparkBar

A bar across the top of the screen that reserves its own space, so no window ever covers it.

As your wallpaper

Scenes and live wallpapers render behind your icons, where a static image used to be.

Shown at actual size

Six sizes, and they all fit together

Every widget is built to one of six fixed sizes on a 140-pixel grid, so they share edges when you line them up — and go exactly where you drop them when you don't. Six of them tile this block with nothing left over. These are real recordings at real pixel dimensions.

Questions

Before you install

Is WidgetSpark free?

Yes. A free set of widgets across most categories, plus system control and session restore — no account required. Pro unlocks the full catalogue, audio visualizers, games, and live wallpapers from $1.99/mo.

How do I install it?

One click from the Microsoft Store. Updates and licensing run through the Store automatically, so there is nothing to download or patch by hand.

Will it slow down my PC?

Mostly no — the app stays light when it is idle. Some widgets are genuinely heavier than others: audio visualizers and live system monitors sample constantly, and live wallpapers render continuously. You only pay for what you add.

Does it work on Windows 10?

Yes — Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Taskbar widgets and the SparkBar work on both. macOS and Linux are not available.

Can widgets really go in the taskbar?

Yes, and they stay live there — the clock ticks, the meters move, and the media buttons respond to clicks. A docked widget gets a 190 × 39 pixel slot, so they are designed as compact strips.

Will my widgets come back after I restart?

Yes. Session restore brings every widget back where you left it — position, size, style, and settings.

Do widgets work offline?

The app runs fully offline. Widgets that fetch live data — weather, crypto, stocks, news — need a connection for updates, but everything else keeps working.

Do I need an account?

No. The free tier needs nothing. Pro uses your Microsoft Store account for licensing, and that is the whole of it.
