2. Information We Collect

We are committed to collecting the minimum amount of information necessary to provide and improve the App. Below is an exhaustive list of what we collect:

2.1 Information Collected by the App

• License status — The App checks your subscription status with the Microsoft Store to determine whether you have an active Pro subscription. This check is performed locally between your device and the Microsoft Store API. We do not operate our own account system and do not collect your email address, name, or Microsoft account information.
• API requests — Certain widgets (weather, crypto prices, exchange rates, etc.) request data through our cloud proxy service. These requests include the data query (e.g., city name, currency) and an anonymous authentication token. We do not log or store the content of these requests beyond transient server processing.
• Widget and sticker content — The App downloads encrypted widget and sticker content from our content delivery network (CDN). These downloads are authenticated but anonymous — we do not track which user downloads which content.

2.2 Information NOT Collected by the App

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry from the App
• We do not track which widgets you install, open, or use
• We do not access your system files, documents, photos, or browsing history
• We do not record your screen, microphone, camera, or keyboard input
• We do not sell, rent, or share any information with third parties for advertising or marketing

2.3 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your computer and is never transmitted to us:

• Widget settings, positions, sizes, and layout configurations
• Sticker positions, sizes, and z-order
• App preferences (theme, dock state, widget source)
• Installed widget and sticker files (encrypted at rest)
• License cache (encrypted, used to maintain your subscription status offline)

2.4 Information Collected by the Website

• Standard web server logs — Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard access logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and performance purposes and is subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Cookies — The Website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services. See our Cookie Policy for details.

3. How We Use Information

• To authenticate API requests and prevent abuse of our cloud proxy service
• To deliver encrypted widget and sticker content via our CDN
• To verify subscription status with the Microsoft Store
• To maintain and improve the security, performance, and reliability of the App and Website
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

The App and Website interact with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Cloudflare — Provides website hosting, CDN for widget/sticker delivery, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Google Cloud / Firebase — Hosts our cloud proxy service that handles API requests for data-powered widgets (weather, finance, etc.). Google Privacy Policy
• APIVerve — Provides third-party data APIs (weather, crypto, etc.) accessed through our cloud proxy. Your device does not connect to APIVerve directly.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with our services:

• All widget and sticker content is encrypted at rest on your device
• API communications use HTTPS encryption in transit
• CDN authentication tokens are encrypted and stored only in memory during app runtime
• The license cache is encrypted to prevent tampering
• No personal data is stored on our servers

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

WidgetSpark is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this concern is inherently mitigated. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data, there is minimal data to retain. Transient API request logs on our cloud proxy are not stored beyond the immediate processing of the request. Standard web server logs retained by Cloudflare are subject to Cloudflare's retention policies. Local data on your device persists until you uninstall the App or use the "Reset App" feature in Settings.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including rights under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws), you may have the following rights:

• Access — Request to know what personal data we hold about you (in our case, none)
• Deletion — Request deletion of any data associated with you
• Portability — Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Objection — Object to processing of your data
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data

9. International Users

WidgetSpark is operated by EvlarSoft LLC from the United States. If you access the App or Website from outside the United States, please be aware that any transient data processed through our cloud services may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers maintain facilities. By using the App or Website, you consent to the transfer of such data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App or Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

EVLARSOFT LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR WEBSITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Your use of third-party services (Microsoft Store, Cloudflare, Google Cloud) is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. EvlarSoft LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
